JEE Main 2020 last minute tips:
Revise: Don’t start anything new at the last moment. This is just not the time to do so but to have clarity of concept and familiarity with the question type. So revision of concepts is the key. Prepare a list of concepts, topic-wise. Revise the chapters of Class 11 and 12 thoroughly. Keep referring to the notes. You can even attend a few online sessions for clarity and doubt removal.
Memorise the important formulas: Use short notes to revise the important formulas. It is important to use short notes as there will be no time to go through the chapters and topics in detail. Remember the important reactions, equations and mechanisms. You only have the minimum time to skim through the most important points for each topic. Go through those topics that are considered to have more weightage as per the past year question papers.
Mock tests: As we always stress, your preparation is incomplete without solving the previous exam papers. Practice as many mock tests/sample papers/previous exam papers as you can. Do a detailed analysis after every test. Know your strengths and weaknesses topic-wise and subject-wise and solve them with more practice. Don't let a bad mock test performance hinder or demoralise you. It is important to keep grounded and improvise at every step.
Boost your confidence level: Don't allow room for low self-confidence. Keep your faith and do your best. There is no guarantee regarding the performance in the JEE Main. A day may be good or bad. Just do your best and move further. The last few days are very much important but it is necessary to keep calm and avoid stressing.
Take Breaks during studies: Taking a small break of 5-10 minutes after an hour of study is very important in order to relax and cool your mind. It reduces tiredness, and helps in improving the concentration level.
Live a healthy lifestyle: This is very much important as you don't want to feel unwell before the examination. That is why, don’t have junk food during these days, eat healthy food and stay fit. A fixed sleep cycle is very much needed during exam days, it will help you to wake up early on the exam day.
No need to discuss your preparation with others: It is a common tendency to check with friends about their exam preparation. Their performance will definitely not boost yours. So, discussing with friends before exams is not really needed. Instead it may have you worrying that your preparation may be less or inadequate than them and you get feeling nervous. Avoid spending too much time on social media as well.
