Schools in Gujarat reopened on January 18, and at least 11 girl students of the KA Vanpariya Kanya Vinay Mandir in Junagadh district tested positive for coronavirus on the first day.
As many as 122 girls were randomly tested at the school.
The state government’s health officer, Ashvin Ajudia, confirmed that the girls are asymptomatic as of now and have been asked to isolate themselves.
The school has been notified to carry out sanitisation regularly. School functions will continue inside the campus by adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs) issued by the state government.
