According to the Unlock 3 guidelines by the Ministry of Home Affairs, all education institutes will remain closed till August 31.
The Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has decided to keep its campus closed on all Saturdays and Sundays till August 31 due to the prevailing conditions with the spread of COVID-19. According to AMU, many other important administrative and university functions will continue. Medical services, sanitation, electricity, water supply, residential hall services, central automobile workshop, telephone department, central administrative offices, proctor’s office, computer centre and the gas agency under the instructions of the heads of the respective departments will also continue.
“AMU campus will remain closed Saturday & Sunday in Aug, 2020, in connection with prevention of prevailing conditions of COVID 19 in UP,” AMU said in a social media post.
According to the Ministry of Home Affairs Unlock 3 guidelines, all educational institutes will continue to remain closed till August 31. The safety measures have been taken in the light of the latest advisory issued by the Chief Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh Government.
