Candidates receiving training on retail sales
Arunachal Pradesh’s first batch of candidates under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna (PMKVY) 3.0 has been inducted by the State’s skill development and entrepreneurship (SD&E) department. Candidates have been sent to the Assam Professional Academy in Guwahati to undertake training on retail sales, according to the SD&E director, Subu Tabin.
Tabin said, nearly 70% candidates will be offered with employment opportunities after their training completion. A skill development training centre has been set up in Tawang region for short term programmes in electrical applications and plumbing, he said.
The skill department has also taken up various initiatives in skilling the youth in attaining prosperous employment, said Tabin. He also said the Skill Certification Scheme (SCS) aims to offer industry-relevant skills.
