Students urge the government to either cancel or postpone the exams
The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) and the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) are likely to announce the government’s decision on Assam board exams 2021 today.
Earlier, the exams were scheduled from May 11 to June 1. However, the stakeholders had urged the government to either cancel or postpone the exams amid the COVID-19 surge in the country.
Considering the crisis, AHSEC has postponed HS first year exams but the official update is expected to be posted today. Education minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on April 17 had asked SEBA and AHSEC to decide on the topic by discussing with the relevant stakeholders within ten days.
