Classes to remain suspended till June 14
The Assam government has rescheduled summer vacation in schools across the state because of a spike in COVID-19 cases.
The summer vacation began on May 15 and will continue till June 14.
The vacation was earlier scheduled from June 1 to July 31. The state government has also directed to shut all educational and training institutions till May 28. Students can continue their classes online.
The Class X and XII exams were earlier postponed, following requests from students amid the rise in COVID-19 cases across the state. The government had also decided to promote Class XI students based on their performance in internal assessment.
