Advice to students: Focus on studies and do not listen to any rumour
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) controller of exams has assured students that the board will be with them all through the exams.
Highlighting the safety guidelines adopted by the board to restrain the spread of COVID-19, B Sanyam Bhardwaj said the number of exam centres has been increased this year and strict COVID-19 protocol will be followed at all centres. He was addressing an online session on CBSE Board Examinations Demystified organised by the SAI International Education Group.
Students have been demanding cancellation or postponement of offline board exams amid the surge in COVID cases.
“It is so difficult for you all, it’s a risk to send them to the examination, but kindly continue to support us. Ensure that your child follows all the given precautionary measures. Teachers, our most important stakeholders, we cannot do anything without your support, and it is known to me that they are working extremely hard. My sincere request to them is to devote time sincerely in the evaluation process and help us declare the results as soon as possible,” the CBSE official said. “CBSE will start taking the advice of the doctors to draw up a proper plan for conducting the examination smoothly.”
