Registration portal to remain open till August 31
Delhi University (DU) will begin its admission process for undergraduate (UG) programmes from August 2, likely at 3pm. The registration portal will remain open till August 31.
The varsity has already started the admission process for postgraduate (PG), MPhil and PhD programmes on July 26.
The window for updating scores will be opened at a later date.
"While CBSE, ISC boards have declared results, there are many State boards that are yet to announce results. We will provide the students the option of updating their marks at a later stage and a special window will be opened for it," said a DU official.
Following the process from last year, students are not required to apply for different colleges affiliated with DU separately. They will be permitted for admission to every college and courses if they meet the respective eligibility criteria.
However, students have to fill separate applications for admission to colleges such as St Stephen’s and Jesus and Mary after filling the common form for the DU admissions.
Students will be offered admission based on merit for most programmes. A separate entrance exam will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) between September 26 and October 1 for some courses.
The cut-offs are expected to go higher this year as more than 70,000 students have scored over 95% in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class XII results.
