New campus in Rohini to focus on agriculture, horticulture and plant genetics
Delhi University (DU) will set up a facility centre at Shahbad Dairy in Rohini to study plant sciences. The initiative was taken to promote research work in this field.
The new campus will focus on teaching and researching various branches of plant sciences like agriculture, horticulture and plant genetics.
The varsity made the announcement on its Twitter handle on April 10.
A team of DU faculty members headed by pro-vice-chancellor P.C. Joshi visited the location. Construction work for the research centre will begin soon.
