Even semester classes to begin from May 20
Dibrugarh University has postponed the odd-semester exams for BA, BSc and BCom programmes till June 15 because of the rise in COVID-19 cases in the state.
“In view of the present situation… the rapid spread of the COVID-19 pandemic all over the country, the online meeting of all the principals/ directors of the affiliated colleges/ institutions affiliated to/ permitted by Dibrugarh University held on May 12 has recommended not to schedule the ensuing odd-semester examinations of the BA, BSc and BCom programmes in the CBCS in any mode at least up to June 15 or until any such directives received from the UGC or Government of Assam,” the varsity said in a notice.
The varsity also directed all affiliated colleges and institutions to begin the even semester classes for BA, BSc and BCom programmes under the choice-based credit system (CBCS) from May 20.
The varsity had earlier postponed all exams conducted by its Directorate of Open Learning (DODL).
