Candidates seeking admission in Delhi University (DU) colleges can expect a minor dip in the third cut-off. The varsity has for now closed the application window against the second cut-off list released on October 21, and the final number of admissions under the second list will be released only after students complete formalities such as fee payments by October 23.
Kamala Nehru College closed admission procedures for unreserved seats in as many as nine courses after releasing the first list. According to the college officials, apart from Sanskrit, seats in all other courses will be finalised on the basis of the second cut-off list. But this may not be the case for other colleges who might consider releasing a third or fourth list.
In Khalsa College, the admission process has already been closed in 13 programmes soon after publishing the first list. Officials say they had a 96.75% cut-off for unreserved seats in BCom (Honours) and received 120 applications against 60 seats. In Shri Ram College of Commerce, which has a total of 626 seats for the same programme, the cut-off had dropped from 99.5% to 98.5% in the second list.
