Founders of Zomato, PolicyBazaar bagger the award under entrepreneurship category.
The names for this year’s alumni award in various domains have been announced by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi.
The co-founder and group CEO of PolicyBazar, Yashish Dahiya and founder and CEO of Zomato, Deepinder Goyal will be presented with the distinguished alumni award under entrepreneurship category.
Other categories in the alumni award include distinguished alumni service award and graduates of last decade (GOLD). The institute took to social media to congratulate the awardees.

H V Jagadish, professor of electrical engineering and computer science, University of Michigan and Nemkumar Banthia, professor of civil engineering, University of British Columbia have been named among the distinguished alumni award in teaching and research category.
Among the GOLD award winners are Mr. Sanjam Garg, assistant professor, University of California, Berkeley under the teaching and leadership category and Mr. Pankaj Chaddah, co-founder, Zomato and Mindhouse under entrepreneurship category.
The distinguished alumni award under academic leadership will be awarded to prof. Neville Pinto, president, University of Cincinnati. Mr. Vikram Gupta, founder and managing partner of IvyCap Ventures, will be awarded the distinguished service award.
