Only students who test negative for COVID-19 can attend classes
Nursing and medical colleges in the state of Himachal Pradesh are all set to re-open from December 1, taking into consideration the guidelines issued by the central government. The medical and nursing colleges will reopen after a period of nine months after the HP state government lifted the suspension of physical classes.
Safety measures will be strictly followed, and only students who have tested negative for COVID-19 will be allowed to enter the college premises and attend classes. Students will also have to submit written parental consent before being allowed to enter the college campus.
The state health secretary, Amitabh Avasthi, stated that only students of the first and last year of MBBS and BDS courses will be allowed to attend classes in the first reopening phase of medical colleges. Classes for the rest of the students will be conducted from December 7.
