Programme to equip executives with real-time investment banking knowledge and skills
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore, in association with The Second Wind (TSW) are all set to launch a post-graduate certificate programme on investment banking to enable candidates garner skills and equip them with real-time banking solutions.
Admissions are open for the fourth batch of students for this one-year PG programme. Students will gain hands-on experience and knowledge about investment banking with emphasis on M&As, IPOs, valuation, bond trading, portfolio advisory services, among others.
The certificate programme is open to any graduate with a minimum of two years of experience. Full-time students, commerce and non-commerce graduates and working professionals are also eligible to enrol. The last date to fill the admission form is August 8. Classes are likely to commence from August 29.
The programme will be taught both in the online and offline modes, depending on candidates’ preferences. The offline sessions will be conducted at the IIM Indore campus.
Lectures, case discussions, project work, term papers, assignments have been included in the course. The curriculum will be delivered by IIM Indore’s top-ranked faculty. Professionals can earn the certificate from IIM Indore while still being able to work.
Himanshu Rai, director of IIM Indore said that the programme explores how capital markets function, what drives the value of their securities. Through its unique design, including interactive lessons, this programme enables students to develop the technical skills required for a successful career in the investment banking industry.
The programme will focus on grooming commerce and non-commerce graduates, and teach them the cores of investment banking, along with other specialised finance jobs which are in-line with Investment Banking, Equity Research, Credit Analysis, Financial Analysis, Project Finance, Portfolio Management, and Capital Markets.
The programme has been designed with flexibility to help both students and working professionals to pursue their career goals with success.
