IIM Ahmedabad’s PGP programme is the most expensive one, priced at Rs 28 lakh
An MBA or PGDM from any prestigious Indian Institute of Management (IIM) does not come cheap, often costing as much as Rs 28 lakh.
IIMs generally release their fee structure in the admission policy, before a programme starts. Like every year, the MBA fee has been hiked in the country’s premier management institutions.
For the 2021-23 academic session, the fee for the PGP programme at IIM Ahmedabad is Rs 28 lakh, while the MBA programme at IIM Calcutta costs Rs 27 lakh, and the one at IIM Bangalore costs Rs 23 lakh. The fee of the other IIMs is below Rs 20 lakhs. The new IIMs such as the ones in Trichy and Kashipur charge a far lower MBA fee as they receive government funding unlike the older IIMs.
The semester-wise fee constitutes a number of expenses which include academic fee, residential fee, tuition fee, course material, library fee, internet charges, laptop and computer facility, study tours, alumni charges, mess charges and miscellaneous expenses. Besides this, charges for international immersion may apply.
