Jan 2021 launch date for one-year PG diploma programme
The Indian Institute of Social Welfare & Business Management (IISWBM) is ready to take yet another step towards creating more entrepreneurs.
The institute is likely to launch a year-long management programme in entrepreneurship development in January 2021.
The curriculum for the post-graduation diploma course has been ready for some time. Students will be selected on the basis of an internal examination. Applicants will not need to clear the Common Admission Test (CAT) or Management Aptitude Test (MAT).
“Entrepreneurship will play a vital role in giving a push to the Indian economy. We, being the oldest management institute of the country, had to help the country get more entrepreneurs. West Bengal education minister Partha Chatterjee, who is also the president of our board of governors, has also been urging IISWBM to help the state create more entrepreneurs,” said IISWBM director and member secretary, Dipankar Das Gupta.
The board of governors have already cleared the programme. “We are watching the COVID situation closely and if all goes well, we aim to launch the course in January 2021,” Das Gupta said.
The institute is currently inviting applications for admission to MPhil, PG Diploma in Supply Chain & Logistics Management and Executive PG Programme in Management (EPGPM). To apply, click here.
