Innovation centre to conduct financial research
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur, has joined hands with Punjab National Bank (PNB) and the Foundation for Innovation and Research in Science and Technology (FIRST) to establish the Fintech Innovation Centre.
The partnership aims to conduct research and discover technological solutions and explore opportunities in the banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) sector. The innovation centre will be supported by financial institutions, tech companies, government organisations, financial institutions and academia.
According to a PNB statement, the technical and financial expertise of IIT Kanpur and PNB will help in building entrepreneurial excellence.
