The institute, part of the NSHM Knowledge Campus (Kolkata and Durgapur), offers curated undergraduate and post-graduate courses in hospitality.

One of the oldest hospitality schools in eastern India, with a legacy of more than 24 years, it has consistently ranked among the top 10 institutes across India and No. 1 in eastern India. The institute has two campuses — one in Kolkata and the other in Durgapur.
NSHM aims to impart the best training to its students through quality infrastructure and a wide range of well-researched and industry-oriented courses. The courses are taught by strong and experienced faculty from the industry and academia.
The bouquet of courses offered on the Durgapur campus include four undergraduate programmes — Bachelor in Hotel Management and Catering Technology, BSc in Hospitality and Hotel Administration, BSc in Culinary Science and Bachelor in Travel and Tourism Management. The two postgraduate courses are MSc in Hospitality Management and Master’s in Travel and Tourism Management.
The Kolkata campus offers a Bachelor in Travel and Tourism Management, BSc in Culinary Science, BSc in Hospitality and Hotel Administration, and Master’s in Hospitality Management.
The institute is affiliated to the IATA-authorised training centre and AMADEUS. It also boasts NAAC and AICTE affiliation.
Keeping in mind the changes and shifts in careers in the coming years, NSHM has curated programmes that will help students pursue careers of their choice not only in the hotel industry but in restaurants, retail, hospitals, facility management, entrepreneurship, MICE management companies, airlines, cruise liners, corporates offices, travel and tour planning agencies as well.
The institute is also working on international tie-ups, research activities, community development, and laboratory upgrade with industry support, faculty development and alumni engagement.
