Opportunities available for students pursuing graduate or postgraduate courses in fisheries, animal husbandry and dairy
The National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB), Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying is offering internships to students pursuing graduate or postgraduate courses.
Students of all the recognised institutions who have acquired their Bachelors in Fisheries Science and Masters in Fisheries Science on or after April 1 are eligible for the internship at the National Fisheries Development Board, Hyderabad.
There are three time frames of internships on offer – a four-week programme will be offered to 10 students, four interns will be hired for a eight-week programme and two students will be offered a twelve-week internship programme.
Those chosen for the eight and twelve-week internship will get Rs 9,000 per month as a stipend but those doing a four week internship will not get any stipend.
Selected students will be given a list of tasks under Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana or Fishery Management Plans or Institutional. They will have to prepare reports on project appraisal and management, training and capacity building and programme monitoring and evaluation – data collection, consolidation and management information system reports.
