All three course are free and will be held over 5 to 12 days
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is inviting applications for three online certificate courses in Machine Learning, Web GIS Technology and Earth Observation for Carbon Cycle Studies.
Students pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate degrees or working professionals with basic knowledge of the topic can apply.
The course duration ranges from five days to 12 days.
The courses offer applicants a chance to interact with and learn from reputable scientists working in India’s space research organisation.
The course titled Machine learning to Deep Learning: A journey for remote sensing data classification will be held between July 5 and 9. Applicants must have basic knowledge of remote sensing and GIS. The short course is perfect for those interested in remote sensing data processing in different applications.
The course is being offered as part of the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing’s (part of ISRO) outreach programme.
The course on Earth Observation for Carbon Cycle Studies is designed for researchers, professionals, and students engaged in Earth observation aspects, carbon modelling, carbon assessment using RS & GIS. The 5-day online course starts on June 21 and will be end on June 25.
The 12-day course on Web GIS Technology will offer candidates insight into the various aspect of GIS technology. The course will be open for all and one can register on IIRS’s website. Starting on June 21, this online course will conclude on July 2.
All the courses will be offered online and the full video lectures will be uploaded on YouTube.
Candidates can attend the course live via any web browser through the e-class portal of Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS) Dehradun. The participants can also attend the live workshop via IIR’s YouTube channel of IIR.
For receiving the course completion certificate, a student will have to attend 70 per cent of the sessions via the e-class portal.
