Mridul Agarwal from Jaipur tops JEE Advanced 2021 with the highest percentile in history
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2021 results are out, along with the final answer key. Mridul Agarwal from Jaipur topped the test by scoring 96.66 per cent, the highest ever percentage in the history of the exam.
Kavya Chopra from Delhi topped in the female category, scoring 99.97 per cent. She had also scored a perfect 300 marks in the JEE Main exam and became the first girl to do so, setting the record.
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, which conducted the test, declared the results on October 15. This year, around 1.5 lakh candidates appeared for the JEE Advanced 2021 out of which 41,862 managed to qualify. Among the qualified candidates, about 6,452 are female candidates.
Candidates can check the results and the final answer key by logging onto the official website— jeeadv.ac.in with their roll number, date of birth and phone number. The all-India rank of each candidate will be mentioned in the scorecard.
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will begin the seat allotment and counselling registration process from October 16. The first round seat allotment result will be released on October 27, and the second round on November 1.
The seat allotment will be done for admission into the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST)Shibpur and other government-aided technical institutions.
