NTA advises candidates to apply for JEE Main 2021 only via jeemain.nta.nic.in
The National Testing Agency (NTA) released an official notice on Thursday regarding a fake website jeeguide.co.in that has been immorally soliciting online applications and payments from Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) aspirants for the upcoming ‘JEE Main 2021’ exams.
NTA has asked students to apply for the examination only via the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. “It is revealed from few complaints received at NTA Helpdesk/Call Centre that some unscrupulous elements have created a fake website with URL: jeeguide.co.in in the name of JEE Mains 2021, through which online applications and fee payments are being solicited for JEE (MAIN) 2021 from interested candidates. In the said URL, an email address: info@jeeguide.co.in and mobile number: 9311245307 have also been provided for receiving communications in this regard..”, the notice reads.
NTA further clarified that neither they nor their employees have any connection with the hoax website or any of its elements. They have advised the stakeholders to lodge complaints against these malicious websites. NTA, on its part, will also report the same to the cyber crime cell of Delhi police for deceiving aspirants with undue means.
The first cycle of JEE Main is to be conducted from February 23 to 26 2021. The application window for it closes on January 16.
