JEE Main 2021 begins from tomorrow, check dress code and safety protocol

The February session of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2021 will commence from February 23 and conclude on February 26. Roughly 6.6 lakh students have registered for the exam.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued COVID-19 guidelines and precautions for the safety of the students, and in order to make the examination process smooth, the exams will be held in two shifts. While the morning shift will be conducted between 9am and 12pm, the afternoon shift will be held from 3pm to 6pm. Some key precautionary measures taken by the NTA include:

• Wearing shoes with thick soles and garments with large buttons are not allowed.
• The seating area of the exam hall must be thoroughly sanitised before the beginning of a new shift.
• All equipment, including monitors, keyboards, mouse, webcams, desks and chairs, along with door handles and lift buttons should be thoroughly disinfected.
• Students need to maintain a minimum of 6-feet distance at all times and must practise social distancing.
• Queue managing ropes and floor masks will be arranged outside centres, and students must follow instructions given by the staff. 
• Candidates must remove the masks worn from home, and put on the 3-ply masks provided at the exam hall during the exam.
• Hand sanitisers will be available at entry and inside multiple parts of the exam hall for students and staff.
