B.Tech and B.E exams to begin from February 24
The first round of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main 2021) started today with the bachelor of architecture (BArch) and bachelor of planning (BPlanning) papers. Exams for other subjects including bachelor of technology (BTech) and bachelor of engineering (BE) will begin from February 24.
Exam timings and duration
The first shift will be conducted from 9 am to 12 noon and the second shift from 3 pm to 6 pm. The exam will be conducted in 331 cities.
COVID-19 safety measures
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has made arrangements to curb the spread of COVID-19 in exam centres:
NTA will conduct the JEE Main 2021 exams in four sessions till May 2021.
JEE Main is conducted for admissions to undergraduate programmes in engineering and architecture under the several branches of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) along with some Central and state-funded engineering colleges. Top-ranking JEE Main candidates are also given a chance to sit for JEE Advanced, which is a crucial competitive exam for admissions to the various Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT).
