NTA issues notice. Revised dates to be announced later
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2021 May exam has been postponed due to a spike in the COVID-19 cases in the country, Union education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal announced on Twitter.
He said, “Looking at the present situation of COVID-19 and keeping students’ safety in mind, JEE (Main) - May 2021 session has been postponed. Students are advised to keep visiting the official website of NTA for further updates.”

The exam was scheduled from May 24 to 28.
The JEE Main 2021 April session, scheduled from April 27 to 30, has already been deferred.
A circular issued by the National Testing Agency says, “The rescheduling of the April and May sessions will be done subsequently. The registration for the May session will also be announced at a later stage.”
This year, the NTA had planned to organise JEE Main 2021 in four sessions. Two of the sessions have already been covered in February and March. As many as 6,20,978 candidates appeared in February and 5,56,248 in March.
NTA has advised candidates to use this time to prepare for the exam. NTA also asked aspirants to take practice tests on the NTA Abhyas App.
