Industrialist Naveen Jindal invests for varsity’s academic, infrastructural expansion
The O.P Jindal Global University (JGU) will undergo academic and architectural expansion as its founder and the industrialist Naveen Jindal decided to invest Rs 1,000 crore in the institute. New departments and other facilities will be set up on the campus to achieve its aim to almost double the student-intake and faculty strength, according to the university.
Jindal said, JGU’s 2030 vision is to offer housing facilities to over 12,000 students, offices for 1,600 faculty members and world-class sports centre. The right quality of multi-disciplinary teaching and research has reflected in its better performance in the World University Rankings, said the JGU vice-chancellor C. Raj Kumar.
