All permanent teaching and non-teaching staff of the varsity will be vaccinated at the camp
Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has set up a vaccination camp committee to organise COVID-19 vaccination camps for its teaching and non-teaching staff, after a decision on the same was taken by the dean of faculties and other officials in a committee meeting on April 7.
JMI vice-chancellor Prof Najma Akhtar constituted the Vaccination Camp Committee comprising Prof Sanjay Singh, dean of faculty of dentistry and JMI Chairman, Prof Majid Jamil, president of Jamia Teachers’ Association, Dr. Irshad H. Naqvi, chief medical officer at Dr MA Ansari Health Centre, Nasim Ahmad, general secretary at Jamia Administrative Staff Association and Assistant Registrar (Administration), JMI – Convenor.
This committee will decide the venue of the camp and its duration at the earliest, and issue a separate notification. All permanent teaching and non-teaching staff aged 45 years and above will be vaccinated at the camp in the first phase. In the second phase, dependents of the permanent staff members and family pensioners eligible under medical reimbursement scheme will be vaccinated. The varsity will reimburse the cost of vaccination.
