614 scholars to receive degrees
The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) completed the viva-voce examination for PhD scholars between March 1 and March 31. Degrees will be handed over to as many as 614 scholars.
Submission of thesis and viva-voce were all conducted online, making it convenient and less time-consuming for students and teachers.
Among the record number of 614 scholars, there are 328 female scholars and 286 male scholars. These scholars come from 25 states of India and also include 11 scholars from foreign countries such as Afghanistan, Bangladesh, China, Nepal, South Korea, Uzbekistan, Egypt and Turkey.
