The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has opened its online window for seat allotment registration, choice filling and counselling procedure for admission to various undergraduate courses from October 16.
The seat allotment process will take place for admission in the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and other government-aided technical institutions in India.
Two mock seat allocation lists will be published on the official website of JoSSA on October 22 and 24 from 10 am onwards. The online window for registration of candidates and choice filling will be closed on October 25.
On October 26, reconciliation, verification and validity of all documents will be completed and the seat allocation will begin from October 27. The first list will be published at 10 am.
The entire counselling process will consist of six rounds. As for the withdrawal of seats, JoSSA has notified that candidates can withdraw the seats allotted to them by the allocation authority from the second round till the fifth round of counselling.
Candidates can register themselves through jossa.nic.in, which will also show the availability of seats for each institution.
