Schools seeking feedback from parents
All Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) and Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVs) will reopen on November 2.
The schools have started assessing the situation and implementing health and safety measures in keeping with the standard operating procedure (SOP) issued by the Centre.
Students of classes IX and XII will be the first to return to school. School officials are reaching out to parents and seeking their feedback in keeping with the Unlock 5.0 guidelines.
States like Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Assam and Himachal Pradesh have already reopened school but attendance of students is not mandatory.
Some of guidelines issued by home ministry are:
- Schools can reopen from October 15
- Classes VI to XII can be resumed
- Classes Nursery to V shall remain closed
- Students to submit consent forms from parents before attending school
- All students are to wear masks at all times
