Call to youth to read about Indian scientists and history of science
Prime Minister Narendra Modi encouraged the youth to read about Indian scientists and understand the history of Indian science in his radio show Mann Ki Baat on February 28, which coincided with National Science Day.

To commemorate the occasion dedicated to the discovery of the Raman Effect by C.V. Raman, the Prime Minister lauded the contribution of science towards realising Atmanirbhar Bharat and coined the Lab to Land mantra to take science forward.
Modi cited the example of Ladakh’s Urgain Phuntsog and his work with innovative techniques to organically grow 20 different crops in a cyclic pattern.
“Be a warrior, not a worrier,” the Prime Minister told students, wishing them the best as they get ready to appear for exams.
