Minister denies reports of cancelling Class X examination due to increase in COVID-19 cases
The Board exams for classes X and XII will be conducted in Maharashtra, State education minister Varsha Gaikwad said on February 26.
The minister has also denied reports stating that Class X examinations have been cancelled due to an increase in the COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra.
Gaikwad also ensured that schools, where Covid-19 positive cases have been detected, are being sanitised as per standard operating procedures along with the maintenance of necessary hygiene.
However, assessing the sudden rise in cases, the local authorities of some districts have been requested to close schools from March 1 for the safety of every stakeholder.
