Decision taken following requests from students and parents
The Manipal Institute Technology (MIT) has exempted its BTech students from appearing for their final exams due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The institute has taken the decision following requests made by students, and grading will be based on marks obtained during internal assessments and students’ performance in the previous semester.
"Due to the numerous requests received from students and parents, the university has decided to consider providing relief to students from appearing in the end-semester examination of the ongoing semester. The institute has always been sensitive to genuine concerns of our students and have always supported and helped them,” MIT said in a notice.
Students willing to improve their marks can appear for the grade improvement exam (GIE) online in August.
