According to the Chairman of the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur, the results will be announced by July 15.
The Manipur government declared that the class 12 exams for the subjects which were postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic will start from July 6. The revised dates officially announced for the exams are July 6 and 7.
According to the Chairman of Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM), L Mahendra, the evaluation process will start soon after the exams are over and the results will be declared by July 15. The exams were earlier scheduled on March 20 and 23.
The decision was made keeping in mind the revised dates for JEE Main and NEET 2020. L Mahendra said, “It is crucial that the council declare the results on time so that the students can prepare for the said exams without any disturbance. As such, the exam for the pending subjects will be held on July 6 and 7.”
During the examination, safety measures will be taken by COHSEM. “Strict safety protocols will be maintained during the exams for which the COHSEM have made all the necessary preparation”, said Mr Mahendra.
On July 6, around 3,618 students will appear for the exam in 51 examination centres, and on July 7 547 students in 24 centres. The COHSEM chairman informed that as 19 out of 75 centres are being used as COVID-19 quarantine centres, nearby schools are being prepared for students to sit for the examination. Mr Mahendra also mentioned that a special arrangement will be made for students from other states.
