Chrysalis 2021 to help kick-start careers across sectors and disciplines
The placement cell of Miranda House, New Delhi, will conduct its annual Internship & Knowledge Fair, Chrysalis 2021, virtually on March 8 and 9.
With over three dozen companies promising to turn up, the fair is likely to attract students from across Delhi looking for the right internship opportunity to kick-start their careers.
Chrysalis is designed to bring together employers and almost 1,500-plus students from diverse backgrounds, ranging from humanities to sciences, belonging to colleges under the University of Delhi.
The fair will be open to all current and former students of Delhi University (DU).
“This is the third year we are organising this event. Interested candidates can register by filling in a Google form which would be uploaded on our college website on March 1. The entire event, including internship interviews, will be online. All students of DU are welcome,” said Samriddhi Prakrash, 3rd year economics student of Miranda House and HR head of the placement cell at the college.
The pandemic has forced the event to go online this year but the organisers feel that could lead to wider participation from companies from across sectors and disciplines. So, whatever be your course, year or interest — there will be something for everyone at Chrysalis 2021.
The names of the companies visiting the fair this year will be revealed at the inauguration but students can expect to meet media houses, food delivery apps, cab aggregators, embassies, NGOs and more.
Both paid and unpaid internships will be on offer. “The purpose of the fair is for companies or organisations to showcase career and internship opportunities for college students and to interview interested students for potential positions. With diverse student interests, this fair would give participants access to the country's most promising talent pool,” Prakash said.
The event will also see successful professionals at the top of their game speak about their journey.
Chrysalis 2020 had recorded a footfall of over 700 with 30 companies looking to employ the brightest of students. Some of the companies at the fair last year were The Logical Indian, The Embassy of Argentina, Radio City, Dentsu Aegis and Centre for Civil Society.
