Hostels in the state also reopened
Educational institutions in Mizoram reopened for Classes X and XII on January 22 to help students prepare for their upcoming board examinations in April.
Private and government schools in the state followed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) such as implementation of rapid antigen tests, mandatory wearing of masks, social distancing and restrictions on the number of teaching and non-teaching staff on campus.
Hostels in the state also reopened on January 22.
Online classes are being held simultaneously for the rest of the students.
The government of Mizoram had earlier reopened schools in October but reversed the decision after a few days because of an increase in COVID-19 cases.
