The National Testing Agency had made elaborate arrangements to ensure safety of candidates as the exam was held amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic situation.
As many as 520 students appeared in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2020 in Ladakh as the undergraduate medical entrance exam was conducted for the first time in the Union Territory. Around 16 lakh candidates in the country have enrolled for NEET 2020. The National Testing Agency (NTA) had made elaborate arrangements to ensure safety of candidates as the exam was held amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic situation.
The Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank took to Twitter and said that around 85-95% of students have appeared for NEET 2020. “NEET participation reflects the tenacity and grit of young,” the minister added.
Considering the pandemic situation, the state government of West Bengal, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh had made transportation arrangements for NEET candidates.
