Scheduled to be uploaded on Medical Counselling Committee website
The dates for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2020 counselling, to be conducted by the Directorate General of Health Sciences (DGHS) on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), will be released soon on MCC’s official website (mcc.nic.in).
Candidates who qualify for counselling in the 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) will be able to apply for admission to nearly 317 MBBS and 22 dental ESIC seats in government medical and dental colleges affiliated to central and deemed universities.
Admission to the remaining 85 per cent seats in state-funded, private, non-minority or aided minority colleges will be through the state NEET counselling.
Counselling is likely to begin in end-October.
The number of seats available under AIQ has been increased from 4,064 in 2018 to 4591 this year. Two hundred and thirty-five medical colleges will participate in AIQ counselling this year. The seat matrix for counselling will be published by DHGS before the start of each round, with a separate seat matrix being released for seats in central and deemed universities, and seats offered in ESIC institutes.
