Pokhriyal recommends constituting task force to coordinate NEP implementation
The Union education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank' chaired a review meeting on the implementation of the latest National Education Policy (NEP). It was attended by the ministry's senior officials.
The education minister recommended constituting a task force to coordinate the implementation of NEP among higher and school education departments of the ministry. It will also facilitate smooth transition of students from school to higher education.
According to a statement, a total of 181 tasks have been identified for implementation, and a monthly/weekly calendar will be required to prepare in order to keep all the stakeholders updated.
Pokhriyal also urged all stakeholders to coordinate in implementing NEP along with the existing policy.
