According to a statement issued by the exam conducting agency, NEST 2020 exam dates will be announced soon.
The deadline for submitting applications for the National Entrance Screening Test or NEST has been extended till June 7. According to a statement issued by the exam conducting agency, the NEST 2020 examination dates will be announced soon.
Details of NEST 2020 application procedure, examination centres, syllabus, important dates and previous year question papers of NEST are available on the official website of NEST.
Interested candidates need to first register themselves on the official website. After registering, candidates will be able to fill out the application form with personal, academic and contact details and then pay the application fee online.
The NEST is conducted for admission to National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) Bhubaneswar and Mumbai University - Department of Atomic Energy Centre of Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS).
To be eligible for NEST, a candidate has to qualify for Class 12 with at least 60 per cent marks from any recognised board in India. However, there are some relaxations for scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribes (ST) and differently-abled candidates.
A nationwide lockdown imposed from mid-March to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic has led the NISER Bhubaneswar and UM-DAE CEBS to postpone the application deadlines for NEST 2020 and subsequently extend it multiple times.
