Classes may be conducted both online and offline
The new academic session for first-year engineering students begins on December 1, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has said.
The last date for admission to undergraduate and diploma lateral entry courses at institutes approved by the AICTE was November 30.
The decision to extend the admission process till November 30 was taken because of the pandemic.
AICTE has informed students that classes may be conducted online, offline or in a blended fashion, following the guidelines and SOPs issued by the Centre.
The institutes that have already started classes have been asked by AICTE to either postpone them or conduct special classes for students who appear in the final-year graduation or diploma exams.
