Each course lasts anywhere between two to 30 hours
The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and the California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) have joined hands to offer more than 200 free courses for aspirants and skill seekers in India through e-learning methods.
The initial courses will be from sectors including healthcare, management, information technology, finance, and employability skills. The total duration of digital content provided is 900 hours, which includes two to 30 hours for each course.
NSDC’s digital skilling initiative, eSkillIndia, has more than 825 digital courses from collaborators and partners, and over 4,000 digital courses via affiliate channels. Manish Kumar, CEO, NSDC, said that virtual learning has brought in a digital transformation. Hence, through these e-learning courses, NSDC too wants to facilitate learners and provide them with emerging opportunities.
Gerard L Hanley, executive director of California State University, said that the courses are completely free and easier to access with industry-centered training materials which will deliver and improve the workforce skills of the nation.
