Patnaik also inaugurated three Akanshya hostels, along with 68 other hostels, besides launching ‘My Hostel’ cards for 5.75 lakh students living in hostels.
The CM said that education is the basis of reformation and the government’s focus because of which SC and ST students have been excelling in various fields. He added that the Odisha state scholarship will help 1.5 lakh students who can directly avail the post-matric scholarship in their bank account through its official portal. Apart from education, the 6,700 hostels constructed for SC and ST students will help them in finding proper accommodation and study facilities.
