Schools timings revised for Classes IX to XII
The Odisha government has revised the school timings for Classes IX to XII considering the Indian Meteorological Department’s (IMD) weather forecast of the summer season.
Odisha is expected to experience a heat wave during the month of March, according to IMD.
Classes IX and XI will be conducted from 7 am to 9 am and Classes X and XII will be held 8 am to 12 noon, Odisha’s school and mass education department said in a statement.
Odisha’s school and mass education minister SR Dash said the government will review the situation and school timings in the coming days.
Earlier, classes for all students were conducted from 7 am to 1 pm.
Schools must conduct online exams for Classes IX and XI, the state government mentioned in its COVID-19 guidelines.
