Schools closed till April 30
The Odisha government has decided to suspend offline schools for classes IX and XI due to an increase in COVID-19 positive cases in the state.
All government, private and aided schools in the State will not be allowed to hold offline classes till April 30. However, the schools can conduct online classes as per convenience.
Students residing in hostels and residential schools can return to their homes when the schools conduct online classes. Students of classes X and XII will continue with offline classes while taking COVID-19 precautions.
The government has also issued safety guidelines which includes wearing of masks, maintaining social distance, and sanitisation. And the hostel residents are to avoid crowding outside washrooms and mess areas.
