SARTHAQ plans are interactive, flexible and inclusive, says Union education minister
The Union education minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal, launched SARTHAQ, the implementation plan for the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in school education, on April 8.
Use SARTHAQ as a “guiding star” to ensure transformational reforms in the school education sector, said Pokhriyal. The plans are interactive, flexible and inclusive, he added.
SARTHAQ or Students and Teachers Holistic Advancement through Quality Education was launched during a high-level meeting for implementation of NEP 2020 and to mark the 75th year of India’s independence.
SARTHAQ has been put together based on consultations with States and union territories, and a special teachers’ fest was organised for the purpose from September 8 to 25, 2020, to discuss ways to implement NEP.
The plans can be modified as per needs and requirements, the ministry said in a statement.
