8,623 new COVID-19 cases between February 26 and 27
The Pune government has shut down schools and extended the night curfew till March 14 on account of the increasing number of COVID-19 cases. Essential services will be exempted from the curfew.
“Schools, colleges and private coaching classes in the city have to remain closed till March 14. No public movement except essential services will be allowed between 11pm and 6am,” said Murlidhar Mohol, mayor of Pune.
The Maharashtra health department recorded 8,623 new COVID-19 cases between February 26 and 27.
