Students to be promoted April 15 onwards
The Rajasthan government has decided to promote students of classes VI and VII without conducting any examinations.
The school education minister Govind Singh Dotasra took to Twitter to announce the development. “Catering to the interest of the students, the education department has taken a major decision to promote students of Classes VI and VII,” the tweet reads.
According to the notice issued by Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE), students in classes VI and VII for the academic year 2020-21, will be promoted to the next class without examinations from April 15.
The decision has been taken keeping in mind the surge in COVID-19 cases. Several States have shut down schools, pushed Board exam dates and promoted students to classes without examinations.
