Tent sustainable in sub-zero temperatures up to minus 14 degrees
Educator and innovator Sonam Wangchuk has designed a solar heated military tent for the Indian Army.
Weighing less than 30kg, the tent can accommodate 10 people, is fully portable and is sustainable in sub-zero temperatures up to minus 14 degrees. Wangchuk has used carbon neutral, instead of kerosene, thus eradicating pollution and protecting the local environment.

Wangchuk worked on this technology after witnessing the recent clash between the Indian Army and the Chinese People’s Liberation Army in the Galwan Valley of Ladakh. This new technology will help keep soldiers warm in Ladakh.
