Online classes to continue on schedule
All government and private universities in Uttarakhand will remain closed till further orders because of the recent surge in COVID-19 cases across the state, said M.M. Semwal, joint secretary, higher education.
Online classes will, however. continue as per schedule.
The state government had earlier announced the closure of education institutes till April 30.
The education ministry has instructed all centrally funded education institutions (IITs, NITs, CUs, IIITs etc) to postpone offline exams scheduled for May because of the second wave of the pandemic in the country. Online exams, however, may continue.
